Jessica Janneman
(she/her)
Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist
Jess trained in Advanced Clinical Massage at the world-renowned Jing Institute in Brighton. This qualifies her in Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release and Trigger Point work, as well as Sports Massage. Her clinical specialism is in treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain through evidence-informed techniques, centred around the biopsychosocial model of pain.
Continuing her own professional development through the engagement with current research is important to Jess.
Jess’s practice began with training in Swedish Massage and Reflexology. She has worked as Head Therapist at Harvest Skincare for the past four years utilising these skills in providing relaxation treatments in a fully-booked treatment room. The power of calming the central nervous system, through relaxation techniques in the management of pain conditions, has an important role within Jess’s clinical practice.
Jess’s journey into the world of body work began with her training as an actor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Here she gained a foundation in movement work with extensive breath and vocal training which formed the beginning of an exploration into the connection between body, breath and mind. This informs her massage practice; her approach to people, touch and pain within the body.
Jess is a member of the FHT and CHP and is on the CNHC register. She is fully insured and licensed.
